This link is a bit chilling- a recent report in a prestigious cancer journal has shown definitive causal links between oral contraceptives and breast cancer. To make it even more interesting, a link between abortion and breast cancer was also found- and the same doctor that denied the link in 2003 (using faulty research) was part of this team for the repudiatory findings this go-round.
Let's see what NARAL, Planned Parenthood, and the other Progressive baby-killers have to say about this. I plan on looking into the original paper and reporting back.

I read the original paper- the paper has no specific discussion of abortion risks, other than to say:
"Specifically, older age, family history of breast
cancer, earlier menarche age, induced abortion, and oral
contraceptive use were associated with an increased risk
for breast cancer."
The data reports a 40% higher likelihood of ALL types of breast cancer in women who have had at least one abortion. Since this was only reported to smooth the data for the main focus of the study (oral contraceptives and their relationship to triple-negative breast cancer) it was not discussed.
However, two of the authors in the paper have vociferously denied (in the public arena) any causal links between abortion and breast cancer- yet they KNOW this link is real enough to clean up data for other studies. You do the math.

The critical word here is "induced." People are playing fast and loose with the term abortion for political purposes. An induced abortion relies on many of the same hormonal and chemical techniques that are the basis for oral contraceptives. If those foreign substances are not being expelled from the body in a readily enough fashion, it wouldn't matter for what reason they were taken, they could still be causing the same cancers. Other forms of abortion, would likely have different affects and should be studied and analyzed separately.

Whippet, I am curious to see what you discover in reading the original paper. No doubt if there is a link, it will be covered up. Liberals see abortion as a curall, a way to solve for an unwanted "problem". They refuse to consider the negative effects and affects associated with it that are life-long and do not end with the abortion. Including loss of life, severe guilt and remorse that may not manifest itself for many years, and the medical effects.
As for oral contraceptives and breast cancer, I remember it being an issue with the higher dose pills, but thought the lower dose pills were not an issue. What "version" did this study look at?

this is crazy, to think there could be links between the two.
