Advertising & Business Model

Shall we cut out the BS on these terms of services online once and for all?!?! The founders of RagingDebate.com are just like you. We are concerned Americans that own other businesses and go to work to pay the bills. We collectively are all public servants to one another now. Our leadership has failed and We the People are on our own to educate government and enforce our collective will.

Online businesses such as “free” social networks are not EVER truly free. You and I both know that. There are three choices for We the People to collectively as Patriots pay the bills in developing this important collaberative work together:

  1. We can all either have huge web ads or aggevating pop-ups of stupid, irrelvant ads that hold little value to any of us and in our face disrupting our experience (ugg)
  2. We can charge $10 a month per user (I hear a zero vote coming on that debate)
  3. We can accept direct mail and email ads based on our preferences at sign up and force the corporate sponsors to ONLY PROVIDE US ADS OF RELEVANCE, including discounts on items we ACTUALLY NEED because we’re all going broke. Out of the three, I choose the last option because it doesn’t interfere with our experience at the site, is store and forward whether we want to look at it later or throw it directly into the trash.

    At some point, We the People will ask one or two large corporate sponsors to fund all of us minimzing or eliminating advertiser funding. A donation model is another option latert on. I do hope other Patriots understand I can’t do this alone.

We will not whore out sensitive information for you to be plundered by the Digital Media or Financial world like We the People have all seen over the last decade. For example: If I sign up and give my information to get a discount for sports sneakers, why the hell was I getting credit card offers?!?! We all know why don’t we? My information was whored out to the financial system, the same one fleecing all of us for the last few years. If you sign up, you get viewpoints on politicians running for office in email or postal mail. You’ll get requests to take surveys. Most will come from the private sector, some will come from government where they cannot use your information to plunder you or we sue them and they fund We the People’s model the hard way. Hey, At least We the People can have a better use of how Politicians spend our tax money as they fund what we all want to create meaningful solutions!

We make it easy to remove yourself at any time and further, we have human beings here you can talk to, including me. I can’t be any more blunt about all this, I hope I was forthcoming and spared you the platitudes.
Now here is the rest of the legal mumbo-jumbo about how you won’t hack, act like a jerk online and won’t make threats, hurt people and protect yourself while getting up in someone’s virtual face:

By becoming an authorized user of the RagingDebate.com service you fully understand that when meeting new people online or in person by using this service to establish a physical meeting point, you will take necessary precautions to protect your safety. RagingDebate.com and its parent holding company MediaHeights, LLC (I own both companies so don’t think we’re playing games over here) accept no liability for decisions you make to meet individuals online or offline. Suggested precautions include meeting in public places, disclosing your intentions to meet with other RagingDebate.com users with family or close personal friends and using common sense judgment to refrain from taking risks with your person or personal property with strangers you may meet.

RagingDebate.com strongly recommends you never reveal financial information such as credit card information, checking account information, social security number or personal bank information at any time in your online experience at RagingDebate.com or when meeting in person with RagingDebate.com users. RagingDebate.com does not ask at any time for such financial information. Requests for this information are likely fraudulent, also known as 'phishing attempts'. You understand and agree that RagingDebate.com provides security as a continuous best-effort attempt only. Threats of physical violence in any fashion against another RagingDebate.com user shall result in termination of your account and may be reported to the local or federal authorities.

Your personal information such as first name, last name, street address, email, telephone number shall never be disclosed online on the RagingDebate.com platform and we strongly recommends you take precautions before revealing such personal information to strangers here or at any other website for that matter.

Age Restriction

Individuals under the age of 18 are strictly forbidden from becoming a registered user of RagingDebate.com. You acknowledge that any fictitious representation of age will result in immediate and permanent termination of user privileges. For all intensive purposes, the RagingDebate.com site is rated R. We discourage foul language but nor can we prevent all instances of it occuring. Any viewers under the age of 18 must have adult supervision AT ALL TIMES.

Terms of Use Agreement, Acceptance and Acknowledgment of Acceptance

The RagingDebate.com Terms of Service Agreement is between you and RagingDebate, LLC, You agree to read these Terms of Use carefully before using the RagingDebate.com website. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions of use, you may not access or otherwise use RagingDebate.com. You understand this Agreement and your authorization has been received and agreed to by RagingDebate.com electronically.

The Terms of Service Agreement here sets forth the legally binding terms of use for you and RagingDebate.com. By using RagingDebate.com, you agree to be bound by this Agreement, whether you are a "Visitor" browsing the RagingDebate.com website or you are a "User" meaning you have registered as a member of the RagingDebate.com service with the specific consent to existing RagingDebate.com functionality. YOU AGREE TO READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE CAREFULLY BEFORE USING the RagingDebate.com website. By checking the "I have read the Terms of Service and agree" clearly marked check box on the registration page, you hereby agree to abide by all applicable State and Federal laws surrounding Internet commerce, intellectual property rights of RagingDebate, LLC and this Agreement. Your failure to read the Terms of Service Agreement will not excuse you from the legally binding obligations of this Agreement or violations of State or Federal law when using RagingDebate.com. Providing an alias or fictional name at the time of registration as a user in the mandatory first name, last name or street address registration fields of RagingDebate.com does not preclude you from this Agreement becoming legally binding. This Agreement may be modified from time to time to oblige State or Federal law or as commercially necessary. Updates to the Terms of Service or Privacy Policy shall be delivered as a notice via email, postal mail and/or posted on RagingDebate.com 60 days prior to changes. We are not going to play bait and switch games but we all have to follow laws.

Agreement Term

This Agreement shall remain in full force and effect indefinitely while you use the RagingDebate.com services as a registered, agreed upon user. You may terminate your User/Membership and privileges for any reason, by emailing us at remove@ragingdebate.com, writing us via U.S. Postal Mail, or calling MediaHeights, LLC at (603) 749-5511 . My extention is 107. I am on your side as a fellow American Patriot but I do know exactly how to deal with others attempting to loot, hurt or pull scams on other Patriots. Your requests via writing to RagingDebate.com to terminate this agreement will be granted within 72 hours or 3 business days. Requests to terminate this agreement via telephone shall be recorded and shall be honored within 72 hours or 3 business days.

RagingDebate.com Posting Rules, Code of Ethics

RagingDebate.com may contain obscene language and graphic depictions of violence at times. You agree to use the RagingDebate.com's service in accordance with the Agreement and following rules. You acknowledge and agree to not:

  1. Upload, distribute, copy or content that is unlawful, libelous, harmful, pornographic, threatening, or ethnically bigoted that would violate another person's rights, constitute or encourage a criminal offense, encourage direct civil insurrection, or violate any local, state, national law.
  2. Use the Service in any way to provide material support or resources (or to conceal or disguise the source, location, nature, or ownership of material support or resources) to any organization designated by the U.S. government as a foreign terrorist organization under section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, 8 U.S.C. P 1189.
  3. Continuously change the subject of a debate, provide intentionally misleading or false information or use blatant racist content or terms in your content or debate comments. Stick with the point and offer up solutions. Our technology is getting better to facilitate and automate solutions and the correct actionable plans that we will jam up Washington’s behind OR ELSE, something the blogosphere doesn’t do.
  4. Upload distribute, copy or content or otherwise use unsolicited or unauthorized advertising or promotional material, junk mail, advertising bots, pyramid schemes or any other form of direct or indirect solicitation. You advertise without my users consent, then I sue you and you fund our American restoration project the hard way.
  5. Upload, copy, distribute, share, or software programs of any kind, including but not limited to viruses, worms, Trojan horses, or other malicious computer code that is designed to interrupt, undermine, destroy, or limit the functionality of any user or MediaHeights, LLC and/or RagingDebate.com network, hardware or software. You agree that in doing so you will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
  6. Disclose your password or transfer your account to any third-party, or allow any third-party to access your account.
  7. Impersonate any person or entity specifically law enforcement, RagingDebate.com and/or MediaHeights, LLC employees, designated primary article contributor, politicians, business or civil leader.
  8. Access the Service by any means other than through the interface provided by RagingDebate.com for use in accessing the service. This includes not using or launching any automated system, including without limitation any spider, or automated script or robot that accesses the service in a way that sends multiple request messages to the RagingDebate.com as a mass promotion, harmful code that inhibits user experience or is outright criminal. You understand and agree that by doing so, you will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Search engines Google, Yahoo and Microsoft are excluded and other search engines and meta-engines that view RagingDebate.com content and wish content redistribution rights shall be authorized on a case by case basis by MediaHeights, LLC management only.
  9. Collect, harvest or attempt to harvest, personally identifiable information, including user account information except for a user profile screen name, from the service.
  10. Attempt to disable or interfere with any security feature of the service.

Content Rights on RagingDebate.com

You acknowledge and agree that the RagingDebate.com service contains proprietary and technology and content owned by MediaHeights, LLC. RagingDebate.com is a registered Trade Name and Trade Marked in the State of New Hampshire, protected under U.S. intellectual property right laws. You are not granted any right or license with respect to the trademarks of MediaHeights, LLC in authorizing this agreement or posting any form of content on RagingDebate.com, or any third-party contracted with MediaHeights, LLC or it's subsidiary holding companies.

Primary Disclaimers

You understand and agree that the RagingDebate.com service is provided on an "AT WILL" and "AS IS" basis. To the full extent permitted by applicable State or Federal law, MediaHeights, LLC disclaims all warranties, implied or expressly stated regarding it's current or future functionality. RagingDebate.com does not guarantee at any time 100% up-time or that your service may not be interrupted due to Acts of God or other events deemed by State or Federal Court(s) as beyond our control. Further, RagingDebate.com and MediaHeights, LLC makes no guarantee that the service will be free from destruction, corruption, viruses, worms, bugs, denial-of-service attacks, hacking, or other security breaches; and MediaHeights, LLC disclaims all liability relating to such attacks on it's RagingDebate.com service users or employees.

Inaccurate Content Disclaimer

You acknowledge and agree that uploading of content to RagingDebate.com is done at will and at your own personal risk. MediaHeights, LLC shall not be held liable for damages, losses, or injury relating to your publishing of content in any way. MediaHeights, LLC shall not be held liable for any inaccurate, misleading or outright untrue content posted on the site or in connection with the service, by users, members, or any third-party.

THIRD PARTIES

RagingDebate, LLC. MediaHeights sponsors will send you promotional content. We do not guarantee, warrant, explicitly endorse, or assume performance liabilities for advertising content, products, or additional services advertised. However, if a corporate sponsor’s direct mail or email ad sucks, has no value or is attempting to solicit services that have nothing to do with what We the People are all doing here at RagingDebate.com I will tell them to get bent. Your communication with, or cooperation with corporate sponsors or third parties you choose to talk to are completely at your discretion.
